RULES

COURSE

The course map will be given out at registration on Sunday 2nd March.

The race takes place on a local farm. You will be searching for checkpoints (an orange triangle and an orange punch) and will need to punch the provided answer sheet. You get points for each checkpoint correctly marked. 

All team members must stay within 30m of each other at all times.

MYSTERY CHALENGES

The mystery challenges are spread out around the course. You will receive an answer or points once you have completed each challenge.

TIMING

Your time will be recorded when you cross the line. You do not get points for finishing early, however, the first team to cross the finish line who has completed all of the checkpoints and the mystery activities wins!

PRIZES

There will be prizes for 1st and 2nd in each category. Spot prizes will also be given out. 

 

ENTRY

To start the race you must have paid your entry fee in full and present a signed waiver at registration. 

 

RUBBISH

Littering is prohibited. If you see some please pick it up (Be a tidy Kiwi!!!)

 

DISQUALIFICATION

Breaches of the rules contained in this entry form may lead to points being forfeited, or disqualified.

SAFETY

All participants compete at their own risk and the organisers will not accept liability for any personal accident or injury during the event. A liability waiver form has to be signed by each team member. Competitors should ensure that they are adequately insured. Competitors under 18 years of age must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

MARSHALS

Please obey all instructions given by marshals at all times. They are there for your safety. 

​

RACE CANCELLATION

There will be no refund of entry fees in the event that the race is cancelled due to forces outside the organisers control, such as weather. However, we will do our best to postpone the event is possible. 

​

TEAM ENTRY CANCELLATION

There will not be any entry refunds after Monday 17th Feb 2025. After this date it is non-refundable. Any cancellations prior to this will incur a 25% administration fee. 

​

WITHDRAWAL

In case of withdrawal of a competitor or entire team, the captain must inform the organisers by any means available in the shortest possible time. If a team member pulls out of the race, you can  continue the race as long as there are at least two people left in the team. You will be un-ranked.

All participants must wear shoes

·       Mobile phone

·       Whistle

·       Pen or pencil to mark map

·       Map bag or sealable bag

·       Water bottles

·       Please bring snacks for any children participating

Optional but Recommended

·       Compass

·       Sunhat & Sunscreen

·       Waterproof jacket

·       A first aid kid
